GB4 TESTING DAY TWO: BURGOYNE TOPS THURSDAY AT DONINGTON PARK

KMR Sport's Harry Burgoyne showcased his speed during the second day of testing at Donington Park, clinching the title of the fastest driver with an impressive morning lap time in session one.

Burgoyne's stellar effort of 1m28.865s positioned him at the helm, a mere 0.149s ahead of Alisha Palmowski from Elite Motorsport. Despite Palmowski's remarkable improvement in session two, her best time of 1m28.852s from the previous day remained unrivaled by a mere 0.013s throughout the week. The dynamic duo, Burgoyne and Palmowski, dominated the testing regime, with Burgoyne leading three sessions while Palmowski ruled over five.

Teammate rivalry emerged as Palmowski maintained a quarter-second advantage over Finn Harrison, who joined the test on the second day, following his absence on the opening day. Harrison's best lap came in session four, further intensifying the competition within Elite Motorsport.

Arden's Leon Wilson showcased commendable progress by securing the fourth fastest time of the day, trailing 0.327s behind the leader, indicating a promising trajectory for the team.

Jack Taylor of Fortec, undergoing his inaugural tests at Donington Park, impressed by claiming the fifth position, closely followed by Branden Templeton from Fox Motorsport. Both drivers, gearing up for their debut car races, displayed promising potential, with their lap times within nine tenths of Burgoyne's leading pace.

Taylor's teammate, Dan Hickey, secured the seventh fastest time, maintaining a slim margin over Megan Bruce from Fox Motorsport, who trailed closely behind.

Flame Airikkala from Preptech UK rounded up the field in ninth place, demonstrating notable improvement over the course of the two-day testing session, culminating in her best performance during the final session.

With testing set to resume at Silverstone next week, anticipation mounts as drivers gear up for further challenges on the 19th and 20th of March, poised to push their limits and refine their skills in preparation for upcoming competitions.
