SILVERSTONE GB4 TEST DAY TWO: HARRISON AND BURGOYNE BATTLE FOR TOP SPOT

In a thrilling conclusion to the pre-season testing at Silverstone, Finn Harrison and Harry Burgoyne engaged in a battle for the top spot. Both drivers showcased their prowess by leading in two sessions each, making the final day an exhilarating spectacle.

The day commenced with Harrison setting the pace in the challenging wet conditions of the opening test. However, as the weather improved in session two, Burgoyne surged ahead, asserting his dominance on the track. The competition intensified as the Scotsman once again claimed the top spot in the penultimate session, only for Harrison to snatch the fastest time in the fourth and final test.

On the combined timesheets, the margin between the two drivers was razor-thin, with Burgoyne's exceptional performance in session three proving to be the highlight of his day. Alisha Palmowski, Harrison's teammate, completed the top three with a stellar effort in the final session, showcasing the formidable strength of their team.

Notable performances also came from Callum Baxter of Graham Brunton Racing, who returned to the venue of his first GB4 test and secured fourth place by a mere 0.056s margin. Megan Bruce emerged as the lead runner for Fox Motorsport in fifth position, closely followed by teammate Branden Templeton, both displaying commendable skill and determination.

Dan Hickey led the charge for Fortec Motorsport in seventh place, with Leon Wilson representing Arden Motorsport closely behind. Jack Taylor and Flame Airikkala rounded up the top ten, completing the roster of drivers who recorded lap times during the testing session.

Additionally, Christian Lester made a notable return to the GB4 hot seat with Rossoverde Racing, adding further intrigue to the event with his presence.
